This is a place where the natives get heat inside the long house. Caol and firewood are burned in that place to produce heat. Try to imagine how cold it is inside a forest during night. Therefore, these place will keep the people to have a warm nice sleep. Nevertheless, with the technology today, we called this HEATHER. Hahaha..
